Now that I have your attention, I can begin to tell you all about my Tacos Chiwas experience. Tacos Chiwas is not a new comer to the world of tacos. Their original restaurant in Phoenix has been around since 2016. Since then, they have held true to the flavors of Chihuahua, Mexico and shared them here with the people of Phoenix.
The menu boasts a large selection of tacos ranging from your fan favorites: pastor and asada tacos to more exotic flavors like tripas (tripe) and Lengua (tongue). The tacos are loaded with meat, cilantro, and onions, but the star of the taco has to be the “made to order” tortilla. That’s right my friends…. the tortillas are made once you place your order for your taco. I always say a good tacos starts with a good tortilla and ends with a great salsa.
Tacos aren’t the only item on the Chiwas menu- gorditas, burritos, and quesadillas round out the menu along with breakfast burritos if you’re looking for a good breakfast option. 😉
The new location on the corner of Alma School and Warner serves up food just as delicious as the Phoenix location… I wouldn’t expect anything less. I do however love that the location is in the East Valley and I no longer have to drive in to Phoenix for my Chiwas fix.
